The beer we serve is most commonly known as Craft Beer. Craft beer is a term that we use to identify a new wave of brewing beer primarily for taste. Although craft beer is a fairly new concept, craft brewers, in the form of Trappist brewers, have been around for a long time.
Brewers in European countries such as Germany & Belgium, where using interesting yeast strains and experimenting with different styles within monastery’s long before the Brewers of today. From the original quadruppels from Westvleteren and doppelbocks from Weihenstephan, you will see modern craft brewers all over the world using these styles as inspiration whilst experimenting with newer hop forward flavours with styles such as the India Pale Ale. IPA’s have almost become the flagship for craft brewing, making flavours such as mango and lychee readily available in the beer we drink. For this reason we always try to have one on tap, as we feel they express this movement better than most other styles.

We serve beer from the UK and all around the world in 1/3rd, 1/2 or 2/3rds of a pint from our 6 rotating taps. If it tastes good, we will serve it. Our bottle list is extensive and spans from some of the rarer, harder to find beers to the styles we feel epitomises certain styles. We don’t offer tasting flights here, instead we push our customers to taste what’s on tap free of charge. This helps us talk about the beer fluently whist tasting it as it is supposed to be served, fresh from the taps.

Our coffee is all seasonal, single origin & speciality grade. The roasters we work worth pride themselves on operating direct trade, paying farmers more for green coffee based off quality. The higher the quality, the more value the coffee is worth.
Our roasters tend to roast on the lighter side, dropping coffee somewhere between first and second crack during the roasting process. This allows us to taste the complexity of the crop whilst not being overwhelmed by heavier roasted or baked flavours that you commonly see in more traditional European coffees.

We see roasting coffee as a way of unlocking its natural characteristics, not masking them. At Hunter & Sons, we get excited by coffee that is floral, fruity, sweet and vibrant and want to share that experience with you. So please approach and speak to us about our products, we love talking about them and explaining what makes them different.

We also offer a wide selection of speciality teas perfectly curated for us by Comins Tea House.
